In June we found out that the water in our pool was so hard it was trapping the chemicals rather than allowing them to burn off in the sun as they're supposed to! So we had to completely drain the pool and start with fresh water and fresh chemicals.

We had to run the hose from the pump all the way down the side of our house to the street.
The shallow end of the pool completely empty.

We had a few hairline cracks in the plaster so we decided this was a perfect time to fix them!
We used two garden hoses to refill the pool. (one from the front faucet and one from the back faucet) and it only took 18 hours to refill.
As the pool refilled April was out on her leash...she just had to get a closer look at the water!
