Our Trip to Colorado: August 2007

We flew into Colorado Springs and drove up to Vail. On our way we stopped in Breckinridge and relaxed in a park for a little while.

Finally we arrived in Vail and we were plesantly suprised that they had upgraded our room to the Presidential Suite. It was phenomenal with a full kitchen, living room, bedroom and two baths. We had two balconies that looked out on the mountain!

(Below) We rode the gondolla to the top of the mountain. These pictures are taken at about the half way point up the mountain.

(Below) Olivia was fascinated by the mountains and the scenery. She was pointing and squealing all the way up in the gondolla.

We headed down the mountain to Colorado Springs for the annual Moon Family Reunion. Jonnie & Steve purchased tickets for all of us to ride to the top of Pikes Peak on the Cog Railway.

Everyone headed home on Sunday morning and our flight was not until Monday morning. We had some extra time with Jonnie and Steve so we decided to visit the USOC, where Jonnie works, since there has been many new changes to the complex. It was very impressive!

A Night Out with Friends!

One of the best parts of going home to IA is having babysitters so we can have a night out with friends!

Olivia's Birthday Parties

On July 1st we had a birthday party in Texas with our friends. We had a fun time opening gifts and having cake. After the party everyone hung out around the pool and just had a nice afternoon.
